We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our small but mighty engineering team and help us deliver the Predikt platform end-to-end. You'll work closely with our AI engineers, product manager, and front-end engineer to build production-grade features across the stack — with a strong focus on backend. This is a high-ownership role in a team where your voice matters, your code ships, and your decisions have real impact on the product and the company.

About the Role

‍

As a Software Engineer at Predikt, you'll be a core contributor to a fast-moving engineering team of 4-5 people building a data-heavy, AI-driven SaaS platform for procurement teams at large CPG enterprises. You'll take ownership of features from design to deployment, contribute to technical decisions, and collaborate closely with product to shape solutions — not just implement them. We're not looking for someone who waits for tickets. We're looking for someone who understands the business context, engages with the problem, and drives things to completion.

Our stack is Python (FastAPI) on the backend, Next.js and TypeScript on the frontend, and GCP for infrastructure. You'll be primarily focused on backend, but comfort working across the stack is a real asset in a team this size.

Responsibilities

‍

• Build and ship features across the stack, with a primary focus on backend development in Python and FastAPI.
• Design and improve APIs, data flows, analytics pipelines and integrations.
• Collaborate closely with product to shape solutions, not just implement them
• Work with our front-end engineer to deliver seamless, interactive user experiences through our web app.
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions in a small, fast-moving team where your input genuinely shapes direction.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and peer code reviews.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for software architecture, design decisions and codebase.

Requirements

‍

• 3-6 years of experience in software development (medior to early senior level).
• Strong backend experience with Python — FastAPI experience is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working across the stack; TypeScript and Next.js experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software development best practices: version control, testing, CI/CD.
• Product mindset: you think along with users and business goals, not just technical specifications.
• Able to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in a small team with high autonomy.
• Experience with or genuine interest in B2B SaaS products and enterprise software environments.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude.

Nice to Haves

‍

• Experience working with ML packages, LLM models or AI-driven platforms.
• Experience with data engineering, including designing and managing data pipelines and workflows.
• Familiarity with GCP or other cloud infrastructure and security.
• Exposure to complex, data-heavy enterprise software contexts (procurement, finance, supply chain, or similar).
